HGV Driver/Operator

HGV Driver/Operator Core Responsibilities
- Safely drive heavy goods vehicles to collect, transport, and dispose of septic waste ensuring careful handling to prevent spills or contamination
- Navigating routes to various locations, including the Scottish Islands
- Performing pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Accurate completion of documentation
- Adhering to working time directive/driver’s hours/tachograph rules
Driver Requirements
- Candidates must have a valid HGV licence (minimum of class 2), CPC and experience operating large vehicles. You should be comfortable driving in various weather and road conditions
- Experience in septic tank emptying is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
- This job can be physically demanding, requiring you to lift heavy hoses and other equipment
- You will need to interact with customers and the general public, so you should be friendly and professional
- Good rates of pay.
Grounds worker

Grounds Worker Core Responsibilities
- Carry out groundwork tasks including pipework
- Working away from home is required
- Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in the installation of septic tanks and treatment plants
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised work environment
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any issues that arise
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed
Grounds worker requirements
- Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Capability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments together with a good level of physical fitness to perform required tasks
- A valid driving licence is essential
